The TrailMaster TM700v opens the door to the most
exciting trail monitoring ever. This passive infrared monitor intelligently controls and
monitors a video camera while at the same time recording and storing times and dates of
animal movement just like our other TrailMaster passive infrared trail monitors.
HOW IT WORKS. The TM700v is a passive infrared
receiver which detects the combination of body heat-and-motion in the area it is monitoring.
The area of sensitivity forms a wedge radiating outward in front of the monitor. This
wedge is 100 ft. ( 30.5 m) deep and spreads 150 degrees wide. Any warm-blooded animal
which moves within this wedge will register as an event. The unit will store one event per
minute as long as the animal is moving within the area. In addition to storing event
information, the monitor can be set to control a video camera. The TM700v gives you
complete control over the video camera functions When an animal enters the area, the
TrailMaster turns the video camera on. The camera stays on as long as motion and heat are
detected, then turns off after the last detection. With a 2-hour tape, the unit can remain
in the field for weeks at a time. At the same time, the TM700v records and stores the
dates and times that animals are in the area. TM700v passive infrared monitor can
store over 1000 animal movement events by date and time.
The TM700v is very easy to use. Three push buttons
on the front of the monitor are used to control its many functions. The TIME SET button is
used to set the initial time and date functions in the same way a digital watch is set.
The SET UP button is used to verify the area in which heat and movement are being sensed.
Proper function is easily verified by placing the unit in the set up mode and watching for
the red light to flash. The READ OUT/ADVance (R/O ADV) button is used when reading out the
data.
The TM700v can be used with any video camera that adheres
to the "Lan-C" remote control protocol. (Most SONY Handycams)
